Upon arrival on the scene, Uwchlan Ambulance requested 2 helicopters to the scene and 2 additional ambulances. Phoenixville EMS and Honey Brook EMS were dispatched to assist. Ambulance 33-2 responded and arrived at the scene to find EMS units triaging patients. The crew from Ambulance 33-2 assessed, treated and transported 3 children from the accident scene to Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Other patients from the accident were transported by ambulance and helicopter to Reading Hospital and an infant was transported by helicopter to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Ambulance 33-1 was also dispatched to assist, however was canceled enroute to the scene. Tragically, one child was killed in the accident.
