August 14, 2016
At 1:42 PM on Sunday, August 14, units from the Honey Brook Fire Company, Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS, and Brandywine Hospital were dispatched to Route 10 south of Route 322 in Honey Brook Borough for a vehicle accident with entrapment.
Chester County 9-1-1 advised the responding units of a two vehicle accident with entrapment.
Ambulance 189-1 arrived and reported several subjects injured, and confirmed entrapment. 189-1 also requested the dispatch of a "medical box" which would bring several more EMS units from Chester and Lancaster Counties to the scene.
Rescue 33 and Engine 33-1 arrived on location and began extricating a total of five persons, as well as controlling scene hazards.
At completion of the incident, a total of 8 persons were transported to two local trauma centers, and the left over EMS units were released so that the area was covered in case of any other emergencies.
We would like to thank all of our assisting agencies for their assistance during this incident.
