Tractor-Trailer Accident In Honey Brook Boro

At 10:01hrs. The Honey Brook Fire Company with assistance from the Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS, and Brandywine Medics were dispatched to a serious automobile accident in Honey Brook Boro involving a tractor-trailer with multiple vehicles and possibly a house involved. Assistant 33 (Messner) arrived on scene assuming command, to find a tractor-trailer that had lost control, crossed the opposite lane of traffic, traveled through a parking lot hitting 4 parked cars and 8 parked trailers, and finally stopped when it hit a house. EMS crews treated and transported the driver while the firefighters checked for occupants of the house and secured utilities and hazards. Fortunately no one but the family dog was home at the time and he was not injured.
Honey Brook firefighters worked with the Honey Brook Boro Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, Flings Towing, Bressler Towing, PP&L, and Belfor to deal with the hazards and remediation work in the aftermath.
Honey Brook units cleared at 17:15pm. Your 20+ volunteers where there for over 7 hours!
