Weekend Keeps Station 33 Volunteers Busy

On 3/18/17 at 07:00 hrs. members staffed Engine 33-5 and traveled to cover Lancaster County Station 52 (Christiana Fire Co.) while they attended a day of live fire training. Engine 33-5 cleared at approx 1600hrs.
Also on 3/18/17 at 18:00 hrs. members staffed Engine 33-1 and traveled to Station 4 (Malvern Fire Co.) to cover the company as they laid to rest an active member and Past Chief after a courageous battle with cancer. Engine 33-1 cleared the standby on 3/19/17 at approx 0700 hrs
On 3/19/17 around 04:00 hrs. Station 33 was alerted to assist Lancaster Station 34 (Caernarvon Fire Company) on a 2 alarm commercial building fire in a 40'x300' wood shop on Red School Road in Caernarvon Township Lancaster County. Engine 33-5 arrived on location and was assigned water supply duties. Rescue 33 arrived and was assigned firefighting duties. Units were in service for over 4 hrs .
