By Past Fire Chief Allen Beiler
September 9, 2018

At 01:45 Station 33 along with multiple mutual aid companies were dispatched to Bakery Feeds for a reported commercial building fire. Engine 33-1 went enroute within 3 minutes after dispatched followed closely by Engine 33-5. Engine 33-1(A.King) arrived on-scene with smoke showing from the roof, Chief 33(Robb) arrived soon after and assumed "Westbrooke Drive Command". Due to access issues all ladder trucks were requested to enter from the Poplar Rd entrance. Due to the location of the fire Chief 33 requested the 2nd Alarm. The bulk of the fire was found to be in a tank but had extended to the roof so multiple truck companies set up for roof operations. The bulk of the fire was knocked down just after 0217, with all hands working to completely extinguish the fire. The Honey Brook Fire Company #1 would like to thank the multiple mutual aid companies that helped to contain and extinguish this fire quickly and safely.
