Early Morning House Fire

At 5:44 am this morning the Honey Brook Fire Company (33) along with mutual aid (Chesco 35-two Engines, Chesco 49- two engines, Chesco 48- two engines, Chesco 69- Ladder 69, EHB Area EMS -BLS 189 & 89) were dispatched to a house fire on the 500 BLK of Icedale Rd in Honey Brook Township.
Deputy 33 and Engine 33-1 arrived to find a working fire in the basement. Crews pulled two 1 3/4” lines and located the fire in a drop ceiling of the basement. One resident was treated for smoke inhalation. Smoke detectors did their job and wakened the residents to the smoldering fire below them.

This is the second structure fire that the Honey Brook volunteers responded to this morning. Rescue 33 was RIT team on Keystone Valley’s box at 6808 N Blackhorse Road at 5:13 AM
