Four Members Attend Truck Company Class

By Deputy Fire Chief Dan Brooks
February 1, 2010

On January 29th and 30th, four members of the Honey Brook Fire Company attended Truck Company Operations, hosted by Parkesburg Fire Company, and taught by Traditions Training. This class focused on the "real world" tactics and operations of a truck company. Members were taught different skills such as Forcible Entry using a steel reinforced door prop, how to properly and efficiently perform V.E.S.(vent enter search), how to quickly perform searches with and without tag lines in zero visibility conditions, one person portable ladder throws, rescuing victims from upper floors onto a ladder and aerial, and MANY more skills. Many skills were learned and some were reinforced........and later Sunday night put to the test at Station 69's building fire.

Thank you to Parkesburg Fire Company for allowing our members to attend and thank you to Traditions Training for another incredible class.
