Honey Brook Fire Company Ambulance Announces New Employees for 2nd Ambulance Crew
By Honey Brook Fire Company #1
March 15, 2010
The Honey Brook Fire Company Ambulance is proud to announce the hiring of 8 new part-time EMT's. Since January 1, 2010 the Honey Brook Fire Company Ambulance has employed 6 full-time EMT's and 6 part-time EMT's to staff 24/7 one of the two ambulances we maintain. Due to the number of ambulance calls, it quickly became apparent that a second crew would be needed during the busiest times to ensure medical coverage to our residents.
The 2nd crew of EMT's will be on duty Monday-Friday from 0800-2000 hours to ensure an ambulance is able to respond quickly to 2nd calls. Before the additional staffing was added, if the on-duty ambulance crew was handling an emergency and a 2nd call came in, the resident would have to wait for the next closest ambulance from a surrounding community. Adding a 2nd crew will help eliminate any delay this may have caused.
The Honey Brook Fire Company Ambulance responds on average to 1300 EMS calls per year, or an average of 3.5 calls every 24 hours.
The Honey Brook Fire Company is proud to announce the hiring of:
