Small Fire on Westbrooke Drive
By HBFC
July 4, 2024
Yesterday afternoon at 16:42 hours, Station 33 along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 90 block of Westbrooke Drive in Honey Brook Township for a reported building fire. Initial reports from the Chester County Fire Board indicated a fire in the diesel room, with nothing further. Deputy 33 arrived and reported a two-story commercial building with nothing showing. Upon his 360 of the large structure, Deputy 33 found smoke showing from the C/D corner, requested the working fire dispatch and established command for the incident. Engine 33-1 arrived and assumed the first due engine assignment, laying from the hydrant out front, and making the stretch. Engine 33-5 assumed the second due engine and secured water for 33-1. Crews made entry, quickly locating and extinguishing the small fire, which was contained to the diesel room. The remaining incoming units assisted with ventilation, securing utilities, and checking for extension. The incident was put under control a short time later.
This fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
