At 8:45 this morning, Honey Brook units were due on the second alarm assignment assisting Lancaster Station 39 for a working barn fire in East Earl Township. First arriving units from 39 (GSFR) had a large, two story barn fully involved and hit the second alarm within minutes of their arrival. Anticipating the assignment, Engine 33-5 responded at dispatch followed by Rescue 33 shortly after. Because of the location of the incident, and several exposures nearby, Brush 33 was also requested to the scene.

Upon arrival, Engine 33-5 began shutting water while it's crew assisted with suppression and overhaul efforts. Rescue 33 reported to manpower staging and was released a short time later. Honey Brook units were in service for roughly two hours before being released by Command 39. Crews would go on to handle a fire alarm, an auto accident, and forklift fire throughout the remainder of the day.
