At 03:24 this morning Station 33 was dispatched to assist Lancaster Station 49 (White Horse) for a barn fire on the 5000 block of Meadville Road, in Salisbury Township. First arriving units from 49 found a large, two-story dairy barn that was fully involved, and requested the 2nd alarm assignment. Engine 33-5 arrived as the second due engine, picked up the LDH from Engine 49-1 and immediately assisted with fire suppression. Rescue 33 arrived and also assisted with fire suppression along with opening up. Engine 33-1 took the water supply assignment, hitting the dry hydrant on Red Hill Road, supplying water for the fire ground.

At 04:18, while operating at the fire, Station 33, Engine 69-5, and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Birdell Road and Horseshoe Pike for an auto accident. Engine 69-5, who was covering our local, Ambulance 189-1, and Micu 193 arrived and reported one patient trapped. Rescue 33 was released from the fire, and responded to the accident. Crews would extricate one patient from the vehicle. This accident is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.

While operating at the accident with entrapment, crews handled a property damage accident at Cupola Road and Horseshoe Pike. Later in the day, Rescue 33 assisted on a medical emergency in Honey Brook Township.
