Working House Fire in Hunters Run

October 18, 2024

At 04:58 on Friday morning, Station 33 along with Mutual Aid were dispatched to the 200 block of Hunters Run Road in Honey Brook Township for a reported House Fire. While responding, Chief 33 observed a large column from two miles out, and given the additional caller information requested the Working Fire Dispatch, bringing additional resources to the scene. Upon arrival, Chief 33 reported a two-story dwelling fully involved, and established the Hunters Run Command. Engine 33-1 arrived as the First Due Engine, laying 5" LDH from the intersection of Fox View & Hunters Run to the scene, and stretched two handlines to attack the fire. Engine 33-5 took the Second Due Engine assignment, picking up the LDH at the intersection, supplying water to the fire ground. Given the rapid advancement of the fire and deteriorating conditions of the structure, crews we're forced to operate defensively.

Unfortunately, one subject was found deceased at the scene. This fire is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragic incident at this time.

We'd like to thank our Mutual Aid partners for their assistance with this incident. This would be the first of two working fires on Friday for the Honey Brook Fire Company.
