| The Honey Brook Fire Co. #1 stayed busy Sunday evening into Monday morning, running a total of six motor vehicle accidents as another winter storm swept across the region.
#1: At 17:13 hours on Sunday evening, 33 units responded to the the 800 BLK of S. Birdell Road in Honey Brook Township for an MVA. Units arrived to find one vehicle on it's roof, with its operator self-extricated. Crews provided patient care and controlled hazards until the arrival of EMS. The scene was turned back over to PSPE, one patient was transported to an area hospital.
#2: At 18:41 hours, crews responded to the intersection of Horseshoe Pike and Cambridge Road, in the Township for an MVA. Chief 33 arrived and reported one vehicle into a field, with a sheared utility pole across the roadway. Fortunately, all parties involved were uninjured, scene was turned over to PSPE.
#3: At 19:42 hours, 33 units responded at the request of AST-35 to the 200 BLK of Octorara Trail, in West Caln Township for an MVA. Wagontown units were operating at a serious accident with entrapment involving a commercial vehicle on Manor Road, in the other end of their local. Chief 33 and R33 arrived to find PD on location and one patient undergoing EMS evaluation. With no further services needed, 33 units cleared the scene.
#4: At 19:49 hours, while responding the above incident, Station 33 was alerted to the 600 BLK of Twin County Road in Honey Brook Township for another MVA. Assistant 33 diverted from the incident in West Caln and was advised of no injuries. Assistant 33 and UTL-33 arrived to find one vehicle vs. a pole, which was sheared and leaning across the roadway and confirmed no injuries. With several tractor trailers stuck, crews shut down the the roadway until PennDOT could make the response.
#5: At 06:51 hours on Monday morning, Station 33 was due assisting Station 35 on the 3200 BLK of Compass Road in West Caln Township for an auto accident with unknown injuries. While responding, the incident was upgraded to an accident with entrapment. Assistant 33 arrived to find one vehicle on it's side, with the operator confined. R33 arrived and utilized the "little giant" to help remove the operator under his own power. Honey Brook crews operated for roughly thirty minutes before clearing the scene, Assistant 33 held the Compass Road command.
#6: At 10:41 hours Deputy 33, R33 and E331 responded to the 3800 BLK of Horseshoe Pike for yet another MVA. Units arrived to find one vehicle vs. a store sign, crews provided patient care and controlled traffic until the arrival of EMS. |
