Engine 33-1 arrived at 11:37, confirming the report and Assistant 33 (Robb) established "Horseshoe Pike Command." Initial crews made entry into the structure to find a fire in the living room area, which was quickly extinguished. The fire was brought under control 11:48 am and crews began ventilating the structure as well as conducting a search to ensure no civilians were still inside. Crews then waited for and assisted the Chester County Fire Marshall's to arrive and begin their investigation of the fire. The homeowner reported he home and sleeping at the time a smoke detector alerted him of the fire and he exited his house and called 911.
