Jacob B. “Jake” Long, 19 yrs., of Honey Brook, went to Heaven on Friday, September 19, 2014 as the result of an auto accident.

He was born in Wynnewood, Pa. on April 19, 1995. He was the son of George and Aimee E. (Latham) Alenovitz.

Jake was employed as a mason & in the dietary department of the Hickory House Nursing Home. He attended the Gateway Baptist Church. Jake enjoyed fishing and anything in the outdoors. He was a graduate of Twin Valley High School, Class of 2013. Jake was a proud and active member of the Honey Brook Fire Company.

He gave his all to help anyone. Jake never stopped asking questions in order to never stop learning. He will be extremely missed by all that had the privilege to know him and will be waiting for all of us in Heaven.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Abigail “Abby” Long of Berwyn, maternal grandmother, Edna Latham of Honey Brook. Also by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his bothers and sisters of the Honey Brook Fire Company, Station # 33.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11 AM from the Gateway Baptist Church, 143 Suplee Road, Honey Brook, with Rev. Dr. Walter Shuler officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 AM on Saturday at the church. Following the memorial service, a fireman’s honor procession will depart the church, with a stop at Station # 33, and then continue to the family home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Jake to the Honey Brook Fire Company, PO Box 408, Honey Brook, Pa. 19344-0408.
