Today the Honey Brook Fire Company, Glen Moore Fire Company, Twin Valley Fire Company, Elverson-Honey Brook EMS, and the Brandywine Medics were dispatched to Forrest Road in Honey Brook Township for an agricultural rescue for a subject trapped in a skid loader. The victim was working on hydraulic valve in the footwell with the boom up and was standing up against the front of skid loader. The boom came down pinning the victim between the boom crossmember and the top front of the footwell.

Crews cribbed the front axle that was elevated, added cribbing on both sides of the skid loader frame to use as a purchase point and working together lifted the boom the needed inches to get subject free using the hydraulic spreaders.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for observation with no serious injuries as he was pinned but not compressed. Good work to all personnel onscene.

Honey Brook mustered 22 firefighters for the daytime call.

Good work to Honey Brook and Glen Moore crews.

Thanks so much for your help in rescuing my husband in the skid loader accident! You helped when we were so helpless. We thank God that he was not seriously injured or killed.
