Member Lester Baxter honored by Chester County

Honey Brook Fire Company No. 1 member Lester Baxter was honored recently, by Chester County Commissioners, for over seventy two years of service to Chester County . Lester helped found and build the Martins Corner Fire Company in 1947. Lester is a Korean War veteran who worked and retired from Lukens Steel Company. Lester also worked for many years as a Chester County Parks employee when Hibernia Park and Dam were created.

On Sunday afternoon October 20, 2019, Chester County Commissioners Terence Farrell and Michelle Kichline along with District Justice Michael J. Cabry III , Honey Brook Fire Chief Jake Bailey, Deputy Chief Steven Kern, Asst Chief Gary Ream Jr. , Fire Police Captain Bill Ford and Lester’s daughter Leslie took part in the presentation of a certificate thanking Lester for his many years of dedicated service to Chester County.
