New truck ordered

Tonight Honey Brook Fire Company No. 1 ordered a new Pumper/Tanker from Pierce Manufacturing. The build schedule will take 10 to 12 months and delivery with be in the fall of 2021. The price for this new apparatus will be $847,109.
This apparatus will replace our 1994 Pumper/ Tanker which will be twenty seven years old when replaced next fall.
The apparatus committee was led by Past Chief Barry Messner Jr. and included Fire Chief Jake Bailey, Deputy Chief Steven Kern, Asst Chief Gary Ream Jr., Past Chief and Chief Engineer Ken Jackson Jr., along with Firefighter and past Asst Chief Levi Stoltzfus along with Captain Aaron S. King.. The committee has been working diligently, for well over a year on this project, and reviewed proposals from three manufacturers.

President Reuben Stoltzfus, along with Treasurer Al Beiler and Senior Trustee Lt. Nate Romig signed the contract tonight.

Pierce Manufacturing distributor Glick Fire Equipment Salesman Curt Woerth and Glick representative Amy Sweitzer attended the ceremony. Thank you and we look forward to working with Glick and Pierce throughout the build process.
