The last day of 2020 offered up a unique extrication situation.

At 1617 hrs Elverson/ Honey Brook Area EMS Amb 189, medic 93 and Honey Brook Fire
Company were dispatched to the 100 block of White Horse Drive ( Honey Brook Township) for a residential rescue.

Responding fire units HBFC Rescue 33, Engine 33-1, and Squad 33 were advised that a homeowner, in the process of a home improvement project,  had accidently nailed his finger to the wall while 4 feet in the air on a ladder.

Crews evaluated the situation, secured and supported the subject’s arm and sawed a section of wood to free the subject. He was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
