A busy week for the Honey Brook Volunteers

Monday 1/25/2021was a three call day with a carbon monoxide incident, standby at Avondale, and previously mentioned building fire.

Thursday 1/28/2021 was a four call day including a cardiac arrest EMS assist, minor chimney fire, a gas leak and a Motor Vehicle Accident on Rt 10 between Todd Rd and Wawassan Drive.

Friday 1/29/2021 started with a Cardiac Arrest EMS assist and then at 2:36 PM an then an unusual Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment at Rt 10 & Beaver Dam Road. This accident involved a dump truck pulling a trailer with a piece of equipment on it which tipped over rounding the corner crushing a pickup truck waiting at the stop sign.
This incident brought EMS 189, Medic 93, Lanco EMS 49-1 , Rescue 33, Lanco Rescue 39, Engine 33-1, Squad 33, and Fire Police Traffic 33, 35, Lanco 49 & a Penn Star helicopter. One patient was transported to Reading. A State Police Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the accident.
Deputy Chief (Ream) arrived on scene with a heavy entrapment in a pickup and requested a heavy wrecker (Flings) to assist with the extrication. Dep. Chief Ream Established Compass Road Command. Units were in service for greater than five hours on this call.
