| On Saturday October 11th, The Honey Brook Fire Company hosted their annual open house. The purpose of an open house is to give the public an open window into the fire company and how it runs. The open house also teaches public safety. Events on Saturday included fire extinguisher training, a helicopter landing, a mock auto accident where members demonstrating vehicle extrication and administering patient care, a smoke house and many stations inside the fire house that provided pamphlets and trained personnel to answer any question that our local residents might have had. Food was also provided.
Today was the fire company's opportunity to show the public what their fire company trains for and how we operate with their financial suport. Without it we would cease to exsist.
Special thanks to Kennet Fire Company for the use of their emergency trailer, Medic 93, SkyCare, Honey Brook Borough Police, Middlecreek Search and Rescue, Officer Craig from the Chester County Accident Reconstruction Team, and the PA State Police. Thank You All. |
