House Fire - West CalnTownship

On Monday evening 3/22/21 at 8:46 PM Honey Brook Fire was wrapping up their drill night in a new Ryan Homes construction site on Glasgow Road-(Honey Brook Township).

Suddenly the crew’s attention was shifted to a Pulse Point alert for a house fire at 105 Schane Lane-(West Caln Township).

The dispatch included Wagontown, Honey Brook, Glen Moore, Coatesville Fire-Ladder 41, Rescue 44 & Coatesville VA Fire Departments along with EMS 144.
Honey Brook responded, from the drill site, within one minute with Engine 33-1, Engine/ Tanker 33-5, Rescue 33, and Squad 33 with a total crew of twenty Firefighters.
Initial report by PD was a visible fire and Asst 33 (Romig) confirmed the report.
Engine 33-1 laid out 400 feet of 5” LDH supply down the driveway and commenced the fire attack with (3) 1& 3/4” hoselines.
Rescue 33 was close behind as first arriving Special Services.

Squad 33 went on scene next and assisted the initial crews.

Engine/ Tanker 33-5 picked up the LDH 5” supply line as the second arriving engine and supplied Engine 33-1 with water.
A clapper setup was deployed for the next two arriving Tankers.

Asst Chief 35 (King) took over command as he arrived. Two addtional tankers were requested and Keystone Valley and East Brandywine responded.

Tankers from Wagontown, Glen Moore, and Westwood arrived and fed nurse Tanker 33-5.

Addtl EMS 44 & 244 along with Air 46 resources were also on scene.

Crews were on scene for 2.5 hours. Chesco-Modena, Lionville, Keystone Valley, West Whiteland along with
Lanco-Caernarvon and White Horse Fire Companies covered the stations with standby duty.
