By Honey Brook Fire Company
March 5, 2022

Today at 1159 hours the Chester County fire task force was alerted to assist Station 21 (Oxford) on a junkyard fire at the 0 block of Nottingham Drive in West Nottingham Township. Numerous southern Chester County units as well as units from Lancaster County and Cecil County Maryland were operating at this large fire. The fire task force is made up of numerous companies throughout Chester County. This brought Engine 33-5 as the Honey Brook Fire Company is apart of the fire task force. Engine 33-5 responded with a crew of six and made the journey to the Oxford local. All of the task force companies were instructed to meet at the Walmart in Oxford to await further orders. Once Engine 33-5 arrived at the Oxford Walmart, the crew received their orders from Deputy 70 (Vaughn). Engine 33-5 then responded to the fire scene. Once arriving on location the crew from Engine 33-5 went right to work operating handlines off of Cecil County Engine 813. Engine 33-5 was on location for multiple hours assisting with fire extinguishment and overhaul. Once command placed the fire out Engine 33-5 assisted Cecil Engine 813 and Chester Engine 22 repack their LDH supply line. Crews returned to Honey Brook around 1530 hours.

Units: Engine 33-5
