At 17:19 last evening, Station 33 was dispatched to assist Lancaster Station 39 (GSFR) for a building fire in East Earl Twp. Both Captain 33A and Rescue 33 made the initial response. First arriving 39 units found a 40’x80’ commercial building with smoke showing from all sides. With the RIT assignment already filled, the crew from Rescue 33 assisted with opening up the building, fire suppression, and extensive overhaul. As the incident progressed, Command 39 requested additional tankers, bringing Engine 33-5 to the scene. Honey Brook crews operated for roughly 3 hours before being released.
