At 0158 this morning, Station 33 was alerted to assist the East Brandywine Fire Company (49) for a reported house fire on Patriot lane, in West Brandywine Township. Engines 33-5 and 33-1 responded with 12 volunteers. First arriving 49 units found a large barn well involved, with exposure to additional structures. Engine 33-5 arrived as the 3rd due engine and immediately began assisting with fire suppression. Engine 33-1 arrived shortly after and assisted with protecting the exposure building and extinguishing some brush that was also involved. Honey Brook crews operated for roughly two hours before being released by command. |
