Today at 1539 hrs, the Honey Brook Fire Company was dispatched to the 500 block of Pleasant View Road, in Honey Brook Township for a reported brush fire. Brush 33 arrived first and found an active field fire roughly 2 acres in size. Crews from Brush 33, Engines 33-1, and 33-5 were quickly able to contain the fire and prevent any further spread. While clearing the scene, Engine 33-5 observed heavy smoke in the area and decided to investigate. Crews found a large controlled burn on the 300 block of Pleasant View and extinguished the fire out of an abundance of caution.
