Working House Fire on Maple St.
By HBFC
March 23, 2024
At 05:36 this morning, the Honey Brook Fire Company along with mutual aid were dispatched to the 800 block of Maple Street in Honey Brook Borough for an apartment fire. Chief 33 arrived and reported fire showing from the roof of a 2.5 story dwelling, requested the working fire dispatch, and established command. Engine 33-1 arrived as the first-due engine, established it's own water supply and stretched an 1.75" attack line to the attic division. The crew from 33-1 encountered heavy fire and high heat, but was able to make a quick knock-down of the blaze. Engine 33-5 arrived as the second due engine, followed by Rescue 33 as the first due special. Honey Brook units completed primary and secondary searches, ventilated, secured utilities and ultimately made quick work of this fire. We'd like to thank our mutual aid, as well as the Glenmoore Fire Company for standing by.
This is the 5th, first-due working fire this year for the Honey Brook Volunteers.
