Kitchen Fire on Lasso Drive

At 11:53 this morning, Station 33 along with mutual aid were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire on Lasso Drive, in Honey Brook Township. Initial reports indicated flames from the stove, extending up the walls of the kitchen. Engine 33-1 arrived as the first-due engine and laid in from the split in the driveway to the scene. Engine 33-5 arrived as the second-due engine and laid in from Beaver Dam Rd. to the split in the driveway, picking up 33-1's line. The crew from 33-1 found a moderate smoke condition inside the residence and the majority of the fire was extinguished by the homeowner. Honey Brook crews opened up and checked for extension, secured hazards, and ventilated before clearing the scene 1.5 hours later. This fire was investigated by the Fire Marshal's office. Assistant 33 held the Lasso Drive Command.
