| Today, Honey Brook Fire Company personnel along with several members from Twin Valley Fire Department (69), Glen Moore Fire Company (48), White Horse Fire Company (L49), and Garden Spot Fire Rescue (L39) completed their final session of Truck Company Operations I. This was a 16-hour certificate level course through the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, taught by Bucks County Community College. Throughout this course, members learned and applied various skills such as forcible entry, search, portable ladders, ventilation, overhaul, and self rescue.
We’d like to thank Mike Kotzo, an accomplished member of the FDNY, as well as the rest of his staff for sharing their knowledge and teaching this course. We’d also like to thank the Modena Fire Company (37) for allowing us to utilize their acquired structure, and both TVFD and GSFR for making their aerial apparatus available for this course.
33 units would also attend a regional water rescue training as well as handle two emergencies in Honey Brook Township throughout the day. |
