At 20:54 hours last evening, the Modena Fire Company (37) along with automatic aid were dispatched to the 3000 block of Doe Run Church Road, in East Fallowfield Township for a Barn. Initial reports stated the barn was on fire, with animals still inside the structure. First arriving units from 37 found a large, two-story barn well involved, and requested both the working fire dispatch and 1st alarm tanker task force. Engine 33-1 responded at dispatch when the incident was upgraded, followed by Assistant 33. Honey Brook personnel would stretch several lines, assist with fire suppression, and conduct overhaul, while Engine 33-1’s chauffeur assisted with water supply operations into the early morning hours.
