| This morning, the Honey Brook Fire Company #1 held its second annual “Old Timers” breakfast at the firehouse. This event allows members past and present to gather for a delicious meal, camaraderie, and fellowship.
Following breakfast, Fire Chief Ream and Assistant Chief Plank presented a special dedication on behalf of the HBFC. Antique Engine 33-1, which was re-acquired last year, was officially dedicated to Past Fire Chief John W. Goodman Jr. Chief Ream spoke about John’s pride and dedication, and the importance of those values today. Additionally, Chief Ream also spoke in remembrance of life members Ray Beiler and Vickie Miller, whom we also lost this year.
Antique Engine 33-1 serves not just as an enormous symbol of pride for our Company, but a reminder of the ever lasting impact Past Chief Goodman made on the HBFC. With John’s family in attendance, it was a special moment indeed.
We’d like to thank all who attended and made today’s event possible. Pride, dedication, and tradition is still strong here at the 33 house. |
