Mass Casualty Accident with Entrapment in Honey Brook Township
By HBFC
August 21, 2026
At 17:21 on Thursday afternoon, in the middle of a severe storm, Station 33 along with EMS were dispatched to the 1000 BLK of Twin County Road, in Honey Brook Township for an auto accident reported with entrapment. Squad 33 arrived to find one SUV into a tree, with its operator confined, and five patients needing immediate medical attention. Chief 33 arrived, established command and requested additional medical resources to the scene. With both local EMS units committed to other emergencies, EMT's and personnel from the HBFC conducted the initial patient triage and care until out-of-town units could arrive. Crews would ultimately remove a large tree which was down on the vehicle to safely extricate its operator. A total of six patients were transported to local area hospitals. Fire police units would shut down Twin County Road for an extended period until it could be cleared and re-opened.
Chief 33 held the Twin County Road command, the HBFC would ultimately handle five calls for service on Thursday. We'd like to thank all of our partnering agencies from the region for their assistance with this incident.
