Late Afternoon Gas Leak
By Honey Brook Fire Company
July 15, 2009
During the late afternoon of July 15th, the Honey Brook Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Maple Street and Park Street in Honey Brook Borough for a gas leak. Assistant 33 (Jackson, Jr.) arrived on location with an active natural gas leak. A construction crew was installing forms for curbing when a service line was hit by a set stake. The service line was fed by a 4" high pressure main. Crews evacuated the area of residents and shut down the streets. A PECO troubleshooter arrived, clamped the leak and repaired the damaged pipe. Units cleared the scene a short time later
