By Firefighter/EMT Christopher Eno
March 31, 2008

At 4:12PM on Monday, March 31, Station 33 was dispatched to the intersection of Route 322 and Westbrook Drive in Honey Brook Township for a vehicle accident.

Responding units were advised by Chester County 911 of a two vehicle accident with injuries. Assistant 33 (K. Jackson, Jr.) arrived on the scene and canceled the response of the fire apparatus, due to not being needed. Ambulance 33-1 arrived on the scene and began patient care. Traffic 33 arrived on the scene and assisted with moving traffic safely through the accident scene.

Medic 93-1 (Brandywine) was requested to assist due to patient condition. After arriving on the scene and assessing the patient, it was determined that Advanced Life Support was not needed, and Medic 93-1 cleared the scene. Ambulance 33-1 transported their patient to a local hospital. The final 33 units cleared the scene at 4:54 PM.

Stacey's Towing removed the sedan from the scene, and the disposal truck drove away under its own power.

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.

Station 33 had 22 volunteers respond to this incident.

Units: Ambulance 33-1, Rescue 33, Traffic 33

Mutual Aid: Medic 93-1, Pennsylvania State Police, Stacey’s Towing
