HBFC Attends Grady David's "Big Give"
By Junior Firefighter Kyle Thomas
May 5, 2008
On Sunday May 4 members of the Honey Brook Fire Company attended Grady David's "Big Give" The restaurant held the event to help non-profit agencies such as the American Red Cross, Habitat For Humanity, and the Honey Brook Fire Company. The fire company had a table in the courtyard on the lower level of the building. There were hand-outs such as fire prevention books, pamphlets, firefighter hats, stickers, magnets, and more to give out to parents and children to educate them about the fire sevice and fire prevention. Rescue 33 and Brush 33 were set out on display at the entrance to the courtyard. Firefighters were on hand at the station to answer any questions as visitors toured the building and apparatus. Fire company members and patrons were entertained by the numerous bands playing throughout the day. Though it was windy, the day turned out to be a beautiful spring day and was a success. Thank you all for the help and support today and throughout the year. Our mission to save lives and protect property wouldn't be possible without the communities continued support.
Thank you Grady Davids for supporting the Honey Brook Fire Company!
