Past Westwood Fire Chief Scats Gathercole Passes
By Watchdesk
August 15, 2013
The Honey Brook Fire Company is saddened by the loss of Robert P. Gathercole Jr., known by most as “Scats”, Past Fire Chief of the Westwood Fire Company (1984-1988 and 1991-2000), member of Keystone Valley and Coatesville Fire Departments.
His passion and life revolved around the fire service and that was passed on to his family, immediate and extended, evident by the family name Gathercole being represented in so many service organizations in the area; Keystone Valley Fire Department, Medic 93, Coatesville Fire Department and Westwood Fire Company.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. Details on the celebration of Scat’s Life and all of ours loss will be posted as they become available.
