Three peat day for Honey Brook Fire volunteers
By Past Fire Chief Allen Beiler
December 27, 2019
Yesterday, Thursday Dec 26th was an active day for Honey Brook Firefighters and included an early start at 4:29 am for a lift assist on Deer Run drive in the Rockville area of Honey Brook Township followed quickly at 4:35 am for a rollover accident, involving one vehicle, at Route 10 and September Road in Honey Brook Township. No injuries or transports resulted from these two incidents, but the early morning risers did work up an appetite and enjoyed breakfast at the reopened Wimpy and Dees Diner at sunrise. Later in the evening, at 17:05 crews responded to a reported house fire in the 400 block of Icedale Road ( Honey Brook Township). Crews from East Brandywine (Sta 49) and Wagontown (Sta 35) were also dispatched and units found light smoke condition in the house from a heating malfunction. No fire extension was found and crews returned after 40 minutes in service for ventilation.
