Salisbury Township Barn fire

Shortly after 10:30 pm Station 33 was alerted to a first due barn fire on the 900 Block of Churchtown Rd in Salisbury Township Lancaster County. Assistant 33 responded and was advised of fire through the roof on a 30x30 barn. Chief 34 arrived first onscene and confirmed a fully involved 30x30 barn. Engine 33-1 responded w/6 once arriving onscene 33-1 deployed two 1.75 handlines to attack the fire. The fire was placed under control in approximatly 15 minutes. 33 crews along with mutual aid worked for the next hour doing extensive overhual due to the amount of hay in the barn. Crews cleared shorty after midnight. Special thanks to Engine 31-2 and Tanker 35 for providing standby at station 33 while we worked this incident.
