Busy Sunday in Chester County
By Past Fire Chief Allen Beiler
March 14, 2021
Sunday was another busy day for Honey Brook Fire Company. At 11:55 AM Engine/Tanker 33-5 responded to the second working fire in southern Chester County at 27 Wawaset Farm Lane (Pocopson Township). Another major Two Alarm building fire in West Marlborough Township was already taxing fire resources in southern Chester County. Each of these fires sparked brush and woods fire downwind of buildings. Numerous brush units from Chester, Delaware, Lancaster Counties and New Castle County-Delaware responded. Brush 33 was called in and helped deal with brush fires at 9 Liam Drive, Canon Hill Drive ( both in Pocopson Township, along with another brush fire at 1225 Kelsall Drive in Newlin Township.
